Our Contribution to the Red Bay Economy (Repairs and Service Work)

Posted from Cave City, KY

Well, I just spent the last few hours of my life writing a blog on our trip to Red Bay with all of the repair and modification prices we recently encountered.  Lots of pictures and explanations.  All of it disappeared in the blink of an eye, however, as I went to publish the blog.

Just no desire to re-create that blog, so he's a brief look at what we had done along with the associated costs.

  1. Heck, take the average cost of a campground site multiplied by the number of nights you spent at Tiffin and you about broke even!!

    1. Dave we weren't at the Tiffin campground, but your point is well taken. We had to be somewhere and the price at the CGs in Red Bay are pretty low.

  2. May you not have to return to Red Bay any time soon. Of course, all the residents of Red Bay were probably sorry to see you go. On the bright side, think of all the CCC you've gained in your MH now that your wallet is so much lighter! :cD

    1. I think some people were sad to see us go. That's one of the reasons we don't mind returning to Red Bay to work done. At least we know that it's done correctly.

  3. Were you there when the drunk lady drove into the bay and hit the motor home. I think it was last week sometime, glad it wasn’t yours.

    1. No, we had just left a couple of days prior to this incident. It was certainly the talk of the service center, however.

  4. Prices look about right. I know it seems like a big hit but it comes with the lifestyle. We go to RB yearly .

    1. We certainly aren't griping about the prices. I thought they were very fair. We've been to Red Bay almost every year since we've owned the rig. We really don't mind returning.

  5. Sounds like you got everything whipped into shape. I've had that blog thing happen and came to the same conclusion as you - no do over.

    1. After spending a lot of time writing (and positioning pictures), then to lose it all, I just couldn't get inspired to do it all over again.
